The iCAP Working Group (iWG) met on September 25, 2015, to discuss and start the assessment of SWATeam recommendation PWR006 Expanded Recycling. The iWG's official comment for this recommendation was:
"The iWG enthusiastically supports this recommendation."

The PWR SWATeam submitted a recommendation to the iWG stating, "We recommend that the Waste Transfer Station accept all plastics number 1 through 7 to simplify what can be recycled and to better align with what is accepted by the Cities of Champaign and Urbana, The University of Illinois Chicago, Parkland College, students' high schools, and students' homes."

"The iWG endorses this recommendation, but notes that recycling signage in some buildings is not controlled by F&S; we request that F&S compile a list of other entities on campus to whom this recommendation should also be transmitted."

The PWR SWATeam submitted a recommendation to the iWG stating, "Hire a Purchasing Coordinator to facilitate and implement policy changes to reduce waste, to meet the commitments of the iCAP."

The iCAP Working Group (iWG) met on April 2, 2015, to discuss and start the assessment of the SWATeam recommendation PWR001 Zero Waste Coordinator. Their official comment on the recommendation was:
"We recommend that the PWR SWATeam consider whether it would be advisable to split this into two recommendations: one for F&S (focused on recycling and waste handling), and one for OBFS (focused on purchasing)."
The recommendation was, subsequently, returned to the PWR SWATeam on April 14th, 2015.

The PWR SWATeam submitted a recommendation to the iWG stating, "We recommend that campus buildings add adequate recycling stations and make efforts to avoid having isolated landfill bins."

The PWR SWATeam submitted a recommendation, PWR001 Zero Waste Coordinator, stating, "Hire a Zero Waste Coordinator to communicate and implement waste reduction strategies, to meet the commitments of the iCAP."

The PWR SWATeam submitted a recommendation, PWR002 Standard Signage, stating, "We recommend that campus buildings standardize the signage on landfill and recycling bins. The signage should be color-coded and consistent throughout campus. Using the color scheme created by Recycle Across America is advised."
