Description

This project will be a guaranteed energy savings contract to be completed in conformance with the provisions of the public university energy conservation act. An energy services company (esco) will be selected through a request for proposal process to serve as a qualified provider. The esco will provide an investment grade audit and recommend energy conservation measures based on merit. This is approximately a $4,300,000 performance contract guaranteed to produce an annual energy savings of $850,000. It is expected this project will install new equipment and make operational revisions for energy savings in chilled water production for the campus' central chilled water system. It is anticipated the scope will include an additional large tonnage electric chiller with ancillary equipment and material in an existing space within the oak street chiller plant. The actual chiller selection will be based on fully utilizing the existing plant space with optimum performance.
